Join Landscape photographers Matt Orchard and Mark Upfield and discover the awe-inspiring Icelandic landscapes on a photographic expedition.

We are freelancer photographers offering an opportunity to join us visiting Iceland, on an adventure into a truly memorizing world of Ice and Fire.

We’ve chosen November for travelling, where winter leaves us with lengthy twilight hours, yet plenty of night hours to search for the dancing Northern Lights.

During our time, we ensure an up close and personal view of Glaciers, Ice lagoons, incredible mountain ranges, iconic water falls, ancient lava fields, black sand beaches, volcanic landscapes, active geysers and many more stunning locations.

We will keep numbers low as this allows us to focus on locations along with photographic assistance.

This trip is suited for enthusiasts, Semi-Pro and Professional photographers, or those with a sense of adventure and own a DSLR camera.

We will be covering a vast area of Iceland from the Western Highlands to the Southern Glaciers, including:

  • Kirkjufell ‘Witches Hat’ mountain.
  • Snæfellsnes Peninsula
  • The Golden Circle: Gullfoss Waterfall, Active Geysers and geothermal areas,
  • Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
  • Skogafoss waterfall
  • Jokulsarlón glacier Lagoon
  • Black sand iceberg beach
  • Ancient lava fields
  • Hofn and surrounding mountains

We start the day with breakfast and coffee before heading to the Witches Hat for sunrise. Once we’ve spent an hour here making the most of the Golden Hours, we’ll depart back South and inland following th e famous Golden Circle.

This incredible route takes us to active Geysers, and the famous Gullfoss water fall. We’ll make use of the cafe to have a meal before moving our journey on into the evening south.

Later guests are welcome to relax at the accomodation or join us on a hunt for the Aurora Borealis.

On Day 3, we spend time moving east along the Southern Coast of Iceland, this is Glacier country where most of the southern mountains are topped by vast glaciers. We will visit several famous waterfalls including Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.

We will stop in the beautiful town of Vik for Lunch and supplies. Our journey continues east towards the incredible Jokulsarlón glacier Lagoon and beach. We will stay close to this location in hope for a colourful sunset and of course the Aurora Borealis.

Dinner will be available at the Glacier Lagoon or facilities back at the accommodation.

Today we move east to photograph the impressive mountain range East of Hofn, we will grab a late breakfast before taking our journey back West towards Reykjavik.

During the day, we have the opportunity to visit the Ice Beach, ancient volcanic lava fields and the famous beach of Vik.

Late evening we arrive in the bustling city of Reykjavik. Here we can enjoy a decent meal and a good night’s sleep.

For those who don’t want to loose a night aurora hunting, we will of course be taking the bus out of the city for another Northern Lights Opportunity across the Reykjanes peninsula.

Our last day, we will make the most of the city and visit a popular restaurant for breakfast.

Then we head back towards Keflavik international.
